Lawn care experts share important jobs for gardens with lawns to do in June to keep lawns beautiful.

June is when the weather gets warmer, you can enjoy the outside, start barbecue season and start to smell the smells of freshly cut grass as your neighbours all start to keep on top of the now fast growing grass that has been relatively dormant through the cold months.

According to one of the head buyers at Homebase speaking to one of our national newspapers it's important to make sure your gardening tools are in perfect working order in June to ensure your garden is well kept during the summer.

Tristan Sissons the garden buying manager at Homebase speaking to The Express also said that a watering schedule is key as is working with nature.

One of the most important jobs he says is replacing your lawn mower blade as not only will it make grass cutting smoother but it will make the lawn brighter and more green due to the cleaner cuts a new blade gives you.

He goes on to explain that grass cools your soil filled with good bacteria during the hot summer months.

If you are a landlord it could be that your tenants have a garden to upkeep as a part of their tenancy.  These can grow out of hand very quickly if not looked after regularly so it's important that your letting agent is checking, monitoring and managing this for you.

For tenants reading this, your home, your space, you will want it to be kept well so, even if you have a busy work-life and family be sure to schedule in regular garden maintenance over the summer months, the best thing is not that you get to have a lovely garden to enjoy all summer, the act of gardening is cathartic too.
